Oscar

My dog is gone.
all of my family is grieving
over the loss of Oscar,
the greatest wiener dog.
His back legs got paralysed,
no one knows how.
We had to make
the hard decision
to let Oscar go.
For goodbye
I was given a lick
he received a loving hug.
He was loaded into the car
to go to the end of his life.
He never knew
what hit him.
Now he’s gone.
Oscar’s gone away.

Summertime

My friends and I
Dance through fields
Of flowers.
I fall flat on my face,
But it doesn’t matter,
I am having too much fun.
Even though my mother scolds,
For the grass stains on my knees,
It doesn’t matter.
I had too much fun.
When I go to sleep
I dream of tomorrow,
Because today was so much fun.
This is what I do
For two months.
I love summer,
I have so much fun.

Deathbed

My pale crippled aunt
Looks at me from her deathbed
With green covers up to her chin.
Yellow sunflowers and red roses
are at her bedside.
The weather is cloudy
Without a ray of sunshine.
Even the flowers pay their last respects.
The sunflowers are hanging their heads,
The roses are losing their petals.
