Slips her fingers through the loops and begins
snipping
away
my summer:
Watching hail fall
like comets
puncturing our tent
Leaving us with a constellation
of black tent and holes,
Holes we later cover
with silver duct tape
and stories.

and
cut
Sending inches of my hair

Like golden shooting stars.
