Journey

Out on my own with nothing to do

with a hole in my shoe

walking in sunshine

drinking cheap wine

for my vacation

stomach growling

coyotes howling

far from the traffic.

On the back of a goat

I do jump

rodeo wine

taking some bumps

this time eight seconds

I see the green

getting lean and feeling mean.

My goat and I start to gallop
into the sunset away from the noise

with life far behind

this is the only way to fly.

Bah.
