missing
on the east side see the dark
streets getting darker
the cold nights biting slender
limbs. stars sink in her eyes
swallowed
by her
made up face.
she paces
the hopeless hour. shivers
in back alleys in rancid rooms
is where she gives birth to
hope. high heels echo
on the pavement.
on the front line
a freezing thought
eats at her hunger.
she wants to be found
she wants a hot bowl of soup
to wrap
her fingers around
a warm look maybe
a human
conversation.
for real
she wants
to be found
she wants
to find herself
a place
to rest.
