Princess

A Princess
walks
on Hastings street,

presides over
thigh-high
boots

regal
atop
4-inch heels.

Legs almighty
challenge
cold and danger.

A car
grinds
to the curb.

She climbs
in beside
a brutal chauffeur.

Noblesse oblige
disappears -
missing in the abyss.

An Eagle
flies to guide
her final procession.

~ Composed by Mary Duffy
