Seasons of Beauty
The bitter rain splatters onto the moist earth,
Nourishing the seeds of promise.
When I watch, the warm mists of forgotten memory
Arise, such fragile butterfly wings.
Vibrant, vivid, yet a quaint, faded sepia.
Autumn.
Warm sunlight filters through emerald trees,
Caressing my skin, gentle, caring.
Sensual blossoms stir the sweet passion
Of brilliant life, cherry blossom hued,
Whispering jubilantly to my senses.
Spring.
Blazing sun burns into mild sand,
As the tawny azure sea roars, prideful.
Laughing children slurs with innuendo.
Bronze flashes, ripples of heat waves
Gleam within the still air.
Summer.
Soft, biting cotton droplets descend,
Petrifying life, a sullen blanket.
Tears slide, freezing into the icy resin
Of numb freshness, wet and cold.
The gray sky mourns, starless.
Winter.
