Summertime
Ladybugs
on a sunny, sandy, seaweed day,
flying to Victoria
talking to the starfish
and goldfish.
Flying over grassy fields of rose blossoms with butterflies,
people picnicking
with tuna salad sandwiches
and salad and bananas and apples
when suddenly the wind blows up
and the rain comes down fast
and the ants come out
and it gets cold out
and it gets cold and puddily
and children jump in puddles
and make mud puddles
they make mud pies for pigs to eat
and soon the rainbow comes
and the sun.
