Symbolizing You

I would hold you there in a kiss with our breath leaping upwards to the sky, roaring its madness as wild springs of earthly fountains are wont to do. Then deep, deep in the pit of my basin, lies the cenotes of my love - I would reach down through my own throat with your heart resting on my tongue, and grasp the horn at the edge of it where water separates into cavernous rock, and wrench it with all the strength I could, locked there in time's invisible bliss. I'd bring it back up and place it there in your mouth as a token, a small talisman of my pride in you,in both of us, in what we forged for; the love we make.
