Words on Robson Poetry Contest Winner:

Fran Bourassa

When I awoke, yearning

Thought you would never return

Thought I'd run you out of town
Thought I'd seen the back of you for good

at the end of my driveway
My curses rolling after you like thunder

So much time had passed, I thought you long gone
Thought me safe and smug because I'd out grown you once and for all

But here you are again at my doorstep, desire
Fresh as spring, crisp as linen
And in your big clumsy hands
A crush of flowers for me
