Exhibition opens on June 18th June 16 – July 18 The exhibition includes more than twenty paintings that give visual expression to a personalized Jewish identity through abstract and colour field compositions. Abstracted Identity will include several paintings that portray Kabbah-inspired considerations of Hebrew letters and words. Multiple canvases are conceptual representations of a number of stories, traditions, and beliefs that are reflections of the richness of Jewish culture. Gleckman states “I share what has been my own journey of artistic exploration and discovery. As with every such venture, the canvas ultimately manifests who and what we are. In this particular context, my paintings speak of the interpretation and expression– the abstraction– of my own identity.” All of the pieces in this exhibition are available for purchase. Prices have been reduced by 30%. The artist will donate his profit of sales to the Association for Israeli Soldiers – Canada and Magen David Adom. Illustration: Nephesh.1 |
